Role Overview:
The Registrar is responsible for any of the following:
- Registration
- Customer Service
- Insurance Verification
- Financial Counseling
- Scheduling
- Bed Control
- Cashier
- Reception
The Registrar must also demonstrate proficiency in at least three of these modalities (one must be Registration) within 6 months of hire and complete additional modalities within the department which may qualify the team member for career advancement (Registrar Career Ladder). Additionally, Registrars may be required to rotate shift periodically and take call. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
Experience Preferred: Patient Registration or Admitting experience
