LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE SECRETARY

REPORTS TO: Principal POSITION SUMMARY: Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking a qualified and dependable Long Term Substitute Secretary to provide administrative support in the Main Office for an anticipated period of approximately five (5) to eight (8) weeks beginning August 10, 2026. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operations of the Main Office and provide courteous and professional support to students, staff, parents, and visitors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Reports to the Main Office at the assigned start time and maintains regular attendance. Greets and assists students, staff, parents, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Answers and directs telephone calls and responds to inquiries as appropriate. Assists with student and staff attendance and recordkeeping. Maintains files, records, and other office documentation. Performs data entry and utilizes district software systems as required. Assists with processing correspondence, forms, and reports. Supports school administrators and office staff with day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks. Maintains confidentiality of student and personnel information. Performs any other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma required. Prior secretarial, administrative, or school office experience preferred. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Long Term Substitute assignment for approximately five (5) to eight (8) weeks beginning August 10, 2026 and then will work on an “on call” basis. HOURLY RATE AND WORK SCHEDULE: $18.54 per hour Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (or as assigned by the Principal) PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands and the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
