What are the responsibilities and job description for the MASONRY INSTRUCTOR position at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School?
As an educator at Bay Path RVTHS you will be expected to provide rigorous instruction to the diverse population of all students in your classroom. You will be expected to align your teaching to the district and state curriculum; to regularly assess students for learning comprehension and to modify your teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students, especially students who are learning English and students with disabilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
2.Coordinate daily instruction with the existing Masonry Department instructional team.
3.Deliver effective instruction with a strong focus on the Massachusetts Vocational Technical Curriculum Masonry Frameworks and performance standards to students of varying abilities and skill levels.
4.Responsible for effective techniques of classroom management/discipline and behavior reinforcement.
5.Fulfill department teaming roles such as a mentoring partnership with a professional status colleague.
6.Participate effectively in school-wide task forces and academic-vocational integration activities.
7.Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
8.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Massachusetts Chapter 74 Licensure in Masonry or be eligible to attain a preliminary vocational technical teacher license.
2.High School Diploma or the equivalent.
3.Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to masonry.
4.SEI Endorsement or ability to achieve SEI endorsement within one year of hire.
5.Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Massachusetts Chapter 74 Professional Licensure in masonry.
2.Experience providing instruction/training in masonry.
3.Experience in multilingual/multicultural education.
WORK YEAR: In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Bay Path Teachers Association and Southern Worcester County Regional Vocational School District.
