What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cake Decorator position at Barrister Global Services Network INC?
Pay: $19.50 hr (commission available for business brought in)
Job Summary:
Prickly Pear Bakery will need a high-end quality cake decorator that will
create visually appealing and delicious cakes, working with customers to design
and decorate cakes for special occasions while also maintaining a clean and
organized workspace, ensuring high quality standards. A cake decorator for this
position will need to be available to work nights and weekends, and holidays.
Some of the key responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not
limited to the following:
- Prepare doughs, batter, and fillings according to recipes.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
- Operate baking equipment to safety guidelines and standards including
ovens, mixers, fryer, etc.
- Bake a variety cakes/cupcakes to assist with par levels for display cases.
- Ensure baked goods meet quality and presentation standards. Testing for
high quality products.
- Work with store manager / assistant store manager to maintain accurate
inventory of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Follow proper sanitation and hygiene procedures, maintaining a clean
workspace and clean operational equipment.
- Time management
- Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and food safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and a
strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills & customer service to deliver customers’
expectations
