What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Host position at Barona Resort & Casino?
OBJECTIVE:
Under the direction of the Executive Host Manager, this position is responsible for acquiring new players, developing customer loyalty and generating incremental trips among VIP in-house players to support the revenue goals of Barona Casino. This position interacts primarily with the casino operations department, Cash and Credit Services, food and beverage, table games, and marketing.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Significant portion of shift spent on casino floor, servicing VIP players. Additional time is spent in an office environment for outbound VIP player contact. Executive Host may spend time off property prospecting for new players. Must be accessible by phone 24 hours a day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting
- Actively develops customer loyalty and incremental visitation through telephone contact, on-property hosting, and off-property entertaining.
- Issue guest comps in accordance with established company guidelines.
- Consistently achieves individual quarterly theoretical revenue goals.
- Actively assists premium players with restaurant, hotel, transportation, sporting, concert and special event reservations.
- Effectively resolves guest complaints in a manner consistent with company guidelines.
- Maintains a working knowledge in all aspects of property promotions, special events, direct mail offers, facility, gaming products, services and amenities.
- Assist in premium player collection efforts upon request.
- Negotiate and coordinate details of hosted events aimed at player development and player loyalty.
- Serves as mentor and role model to V.I.P. Host staff.
- Maintains updated premium player preferences and contact information via the Player Contact System (PCS) and IGS.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all guest, tribal, staff member, and company information.
- Actively supports and promotes departmental and property policies and mission statements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts and hours and travel and attend off-property functions.
Strong management skills and ability to work diplomatically with all levels of management
Strong guest service, public relations, conflict resolution, oral and written communication skills
Professional appearance and good physical mobility
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual in English and Spanish or other foreign language desirable
Successful completion of Comp Master, Synkros and ACSC/LMS training is preferred
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School Diploma
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Executive level Casino Host experience required.
