Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Spanish, World Languages, or a related field in education.Ability to obtain a valid Colorado teaching license.

The High School Spanish Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned world language instruction that develops students' proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. This position fosters a classroom environment that emphasizes communication, cultural understanding, and real-world language application while aligning with PBIS, CKH, and restorative practices.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Lesson Design
Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned to world language standards.Emphasize communicative language teaching, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.Incorporate authentic cultural materials and real-world language use.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse proficiency levels of learners.
Assessment & Feedback
Design and administer formative and summative assessments aligned to language proficiency goals.Provide timely, actionable feedback on student language development.Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth.
Classroom Culture & Management
Establish clear expectations and routines.Create an immersive and respectful language-learning environment.Reinforce PBIS expectations consistently.
CKH & Relationship Building
Build strong relationships that foster trust, engagement, and risk-taking in language learning.Encourage student confidence and participation in speaking and communication.
Restorative Practices
Address behavior through reflective and restorative approaches that support student growth.
Collaboration
Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan instruction and analyze student data.Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary connections and student success.
Operational Support
Support school events, supervision duties, and testing as needed.

Salary Range: $51,000 – $65,000
