The Site Lead coordinates the daily operations of the ESY site to ensure the specific needs, supports and services outlined in the students with disabilities' IEPs, including academic and behavioral supports are implemented. Essential Functions
- Ensure teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, and related service providers have copies of active IEP snapshots, student profiles, and behavior intervention plans for all students.
- Develop, maintain, and implement a Transportation Plan including daily monitoring of bus arrival and departure, following ESY Transportation Guidelines. Completes entry of data into Transportation log. Remains at site until all students have departed.
- Enter and monitor attendance in infinite campus for all students attending ESY at site.
- Ensure staff signs in daily and submits staff attendance. When staff is absent, assigns teacher and paraprofessionals, accordingly.
- Support ESY teachers in the development, adaptation, and individualization of educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Plan a lunch schedule for teachers and paraprofessionals.
- Maintain and submit appropriate records and documents for students participating in ESY (Communication Log, 'Student is Not Attending' ESY Form, Staff Summaries, and Last Day Checklist).
- Complete safety walks, twice daily (am/pm), to ensure a safe and clean site conducive to learning. The safety walk will include evaluating both the outside grounds and inside of the building.
- Complete daily classroom observations using the Classroom Observation Checklist.
- Monitor breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria.
- Establish and maintain effective discipline and management procedures for students.
- Collaborate effectively with all staff, parents of students participating in the ESY program to ensure ongoing communication and instructional support.
- Assign and oversees tasks given to all staff.
- Complete incident reports for students and staff when appropriate.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, administrative regulations, and professional standards.
- Holds unexpired MSDE educator licensure or certification in the area of Special Education; dual certification in content area preferred.
- Employee of Baltimore City Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year, with the intention to remain an employee for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Possession of all appropriate licenses, certificates, and contracts for the 2026-2027 school year (non-renewals, expiring certifications, separations including retirees will not be considered for summer school employment).
- Acceptable annual rating by school principal/administrator.
- Exhibits professional oral, written communication, and human relation skills.
