Essential Functions
- Serve as robotics teacher of record for the classroom.
- Attend required training and meetings as directed by the Office of Teaching and Learning.
- Incorporate small-group and individual instruction to personal and tailor instruction to individual needs.
- Responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction.
- Monitor behavior and promote a positive classroom environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, administrative regulations, and professional standards.
- Demonstrated interest in preparing engineers and in robotics programs.
- Proficient in the use of technical computer applications, including VEX Code, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent?oral and?written communications and human relations skills.
- Holds unexpired MSDE educator licensure or certification in the area of Elementary Education, Middle School: Mathematics and/or Middle School: Science.
- Employee of Baltimore City Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year, with the intention to remain an employee for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Possession of all appropriate licenses, certificates, and contracts for the 2026-2027 school year (non-renewals, expiring certifications, separations including retirees will not be considered for summer school employment).
- Acceptable annual rating by school principal/administrator
