The Elementary/Middle Robotics Para educator l supports the teacher of record in providing instructional and classroom assistance to students. The Para educator may also support students with academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs while helping to ensure that classroom activities run smoothly and effectively under the direction of a certified teacher.

In accordance with Maryland law, City School is required to share the position salary ranges in its entirety. Please note, this is not the hiring range. The hiring range for this position is ($25.136 - $36.761).
Essential Functions
- Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce lessons
- Assisting with classroom management and supports students in regulating behavior and resolving conflicts appropriately.
- Helping maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Monitoring students during breakfast/arrival, lunch and recess.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies, administrative regulations, and professional standards.

Desired Qualifications
- Excellent?oral and?written communications and human relations skills.
- Ability to assume responsibility for supervising and facilitating classroom activities in the absence of the teacher of record.
- Employed as a paraeducator by Baltimore City Schools during the 2025-2026 school year.
- Employee of Baltimore City Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year, with the intention to remain an employee for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Possession of all appropriate licenses, certificates, and contracts for the 2026-2027 school year (non-renewals, expiring certifications, separations including retirees will not be considered for summer school employment).
- Acceptable annual rating by school principal/administrator
