Position Summary
The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations for Balluff Inc., including financial reporting, close processes, and core accounting functions. This is a hands-on role focused on operational execution, accuracy, and process consistency rather than strategic finance leadership.
The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities while leading a small team and remaining actively involved in daily accounting work, reporting, and analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash flow management.
- Manage monthly and annual financial close processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, fiscal regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, forecasts, and business performance insights to leadership.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and recommendations.
- Monitor financial performance including costs, pricing, margins, and operational trends.
- Coordinate audits and work with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers to support compliance and internal controls.
- Support U.S. accounting, payroll, tax, and regulatory compliance, including multi-state requirements.
- Manage banking relationships, auditors, insurance providers, and external financial partners.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, HR, and leadership to support business decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies within finance and accounting.
- Utilize SAP FI/CO and financial systems to support reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Support global reporting requirements and respond to requests from Headquarters in Germany, ensuring alignment with corporate accounting policies.
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional and regional projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Standard office environment with primarily seated, computer-based work.
- Frequent use of ERP and financial systems including SAP FI/CO.
- May require extended hours during month-end close, audits, and reporting cycles.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Florence, KY. This is an onsite role; relocation is not available.

Qualifications:What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience performing month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting in a structured ERP environment, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with SAP FI/CO required.
- Experience in financial reporting, general ledger, AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state tax and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across regional and global teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Continuous improvement and process optimization mindset.
- Corporate online banking experience a plus.
