Position Summary
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving process improvements that increase operational efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce waste within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Improve key metrics including yield, cycle time, scrap reduction, and OEE.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
- Support process standardization, documentation updates, and employee training.
- Track and report project results and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
- 2–5 years of manufacturing, process improvement, or continuous improvement experience
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process mapping
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
- TPM and project management experience
