BakerHostetler is seeking an associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Business Group. The position offers the opportunity to work in a robust practice doing mergers and acquisitions and general corporate transactions. The associate will work alongside a team known for combining its extensive corporate experience with in-depth regulatory knowledge to represent entities in the insurance and financial services industries.

Qualifications Include
- 4-6 years of experience in a wide variety of M&A transactions
- M&A experience should include performing and overseeing due diligence, managing specialists, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and coordinating closings and post-closing matters
- Solid working knowledge of general corporate law and related matters, including choice of entity and entity formation and governance
- Experience in other corporate or transactional matters, such as joint ventures and commercial contracts
- AmLaw 100 experience is strongly preferred
- A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school
- Must be admitted to practice in Georgia, eligible to waive admission to the Georgia Bar or willing to sit for the Georgia Bar Exam
- Ideal candidates will have demonstrated the following attributes:
- Exceptional project management skills
- Effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills; law review or other comparable experience indicating significant research and writing skills a plus
- Ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues
- The professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment
