Associate - Privacy and Digital Risk Class Action and Litigation

BakerHostetler is seeking a junior litigation associate to join its premier Digital Assets and Data Management Practice Group in Philadelphia, PA, Washington, D.C., or Wilmington, DE.

The successful candidate will join our national team in advising and representing clients of all sizes and sectors in investigation and litigation matters involving cybersecurity, digital privacy, Internet speech (defamation, stalking, threats, First Amendment), cybercrime, white-collar crime, intellectual property theft, commercial, and employment issues.

The litigation docket includes both civil and criminal cases, with a heavy focus on cybersecurity and digital privacy class actions, commercial and employment disputes, and regulatory enforcement actions. The investigations docket includes internal, regulatory, grand jury, and congressional investigations focused on a wide range of issues.

Qualifications Include

• 2-3 years of civil, class action, criminal, or regulatory litigation experience
• A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school
• Outstanding writing and oral communication skills, including experience gained through law journals, judicial clerkship, or comparable roles
• Admission to practice in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to waive into practice in PA or DC)

Location:

This position may be located in Philadelphia, PA, Washington, D.C., or Wilmington, DE.

The salary offered in any location will be determined by a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, geographic region, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance- and hours-based bonus program. BakerHostetler offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including group health, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays (10 days), paid time off, 401(k) plan, parental leave (10 weeks, not including disability, where applicable), family care program, wellness program, life and accident insurance, and short and long-term disability.

For Washington, D.C., the expected annual salary range for this position is $235,000 - $245,000.
