The role
The sales team is expanding, and this Account Executive role exists to drive new business development across a growing customer base. You'll be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing new accounts while managing the full lifecycle of those relationships.
You'll work inside sales supporting larger opportunities and clients, with occasional support from your manager on complex deals. This role requires you to move independently while staying connected to the team. You own your piece of the business, and you'll be expected to manage it with both precision and pace.
This is not a passive role. When opportunities move, you move with them.
What you'll do on a typical day
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, trusted sources, and direct outreach to prospects
- Negotiate with customers to secure profitable rates, terms, and sustainable relationships
- Manage load entry, tracking, reporting, and account activity within internal systems
- Coordinate with operations to understand carrier capacity, equipment needs, and logistics requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring they feel supported and valued
- Work collaboratively with teammates to solve problems creatively and close deals
- Take ownership of your accounts and work to continuously improve your speed and effectiveness

The details
- Location: Currently in Downtown Minneapolis with easy access to metro transit (bus and train). The team is relocating to a new office in the West End area in August.
- Compensation: $40,000–$45,000 base salary (based on experience), plus a commission structure tied to new business development and account performance (day-one commission eligibility
- Work environment: 5 days a week in-office. Hours are flexible (7 AM–4 PM or 8 AM–5 PM).
