Position Overview
- Work in the MICU Stepdown Unit on a full-time night shift (7pm-7am) at a healthcare facility in Trussville, AL.
- Provide leadership by coordinating staffing, assigning, educating, and monitoring nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Assess patient care needs, develop care assignments, and ensure appropriate, quality care is delivered.
- Evaluate patient outcomes, address care issues, and respond to patient care concerns through established channels.
- Contribute to staff hiring, training, development, and performance evaluations as needed.
- Current RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months depending on the unit.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Leadership, staff coordination, patient care assessment, and performance evaluation.
- Responding to care concerns and supporting staff development.
