Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview: This position supports licensed pharmacists by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with customer service, and maintaining pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock and manage inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Assist with receiving prescriptions, counting, labeling, and packaging medications.
• Maintain patient profiles and process insurance forms accurately.
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and ensure excellent customer service.
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and compliant with legal policies including HIPAA.
• Support pharmacists with delegated tasks, excluding final prescription verification and patient counseling.
• Notify management of supply needs and perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service or pharmacy-related experience preferred.
• State registration or certification required.
• Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Basic math skills and product knowledge.
• Attention to detail and suggestive selling abilities.
  
  

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
