- Perform and assist with diagnostic, therapeutic, and research CT procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and safety.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation activities following legal regulations.
- Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and assist in post-processing as needed.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and support licensed practitioners in interventional procedures.
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting.
- Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Ability to independently perform CT procedures and handle medications and radiation activities responsibly.
