Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Critical Care Unit

Role: Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in cardiac critical care, supporting a pediatric cardiac critical care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and resources.

• Document care processes adhering to standards and policies.

• Participate in staff and student education and orientation.

• Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests.

• Manage acute cardiac critical care conditions, prescribe treatments, and coordinate discharges.

• Perform related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed or credentialed from the Texas Board in Nursing or as an Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority in Cardiac Critical Care.

• Experience caring for children with complex heart conditions in a critical care setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain confidentiality.

• Strong teamwork skills with physicians and healthcare providers.
  
  

Additional Information: Salary starts at $120,000 depending on qualifications. Must be able to perform manual tasks, work around biohazards, and use personal protective equipment. Required materials include a resume/CV, references, and a letter of interest.
