Driver - 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Driver
• Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00/hr
• Location: Saint Paul, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM with mandatory overtime.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Class D required. No CDL necessary.
• High School or equivalent education.
• Driving test hosted by Client.
• Physical exam coordinated and paid for by client.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to sit in a truck cab and remain focused on the road for extended periods of time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Safe Transit: Transport steel beams, sheet metal, and finished assemblies to construction sites and client facilities.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes to meet delivery windows while considering truck height and weight restrictions.
• Secure Loading: Use straps, chains, and binders to secure heavy metal loads, ensuring zero movement during transit.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company when arriving at job sites and collecting signatures.
• Loading/Unloading: Assist the shop team in loading the truck and coordinate with on-site crane or forklift operators for unloading.
• Documentation: Verify that the load matches the dispatch ticket and report any discrepancies or transit damage immediately.
• Work Environment: Box Truck and Loading bays.
