A well-established dealer group in Western Massachusetts is looking to hire an experienced Automotive Corporate Controller / CFO to join its leadership team. This is a rare opportunity with a reputable organization with a very stable leadership team and many long-term employees. The successful candidate will step into a well-run operation with a solid foundation already in place and the opportunity to make a long-term impact.

The Corporate Controller / CFO hired will oversee all dealership accounting operations, along with one additional business entity. This person will also be responsible to work on special accounting projects for the Dealer Principal as needed. The Corporate Controller / CFO will oversee a well-established team and requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing all aspects of dealership accounting, HR, and payroll operations. It's important that the person hired has a good moral compass, keeps the dealers best interest at heart, and cares about running a clean operation for long-term success. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day dealership accounting operations
• Manage and mentor an accounting team
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and ensure timely month-end close
• Maintain clean schedules, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting
• Handle cash management, budgeting, and financial oversight for the organization
• Assist ownership with special projects and operational initiatives as needed
• Oversee HR and payroll functions
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and accounting procedures
• Work collaboratively with upper management and department leaders
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Automotive dealership accounting leadership experience required
• Prior Controller or CFO experience preferred
• Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and accounting processes
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop staff
• Comfortable overseeing HR and payroll responsibilities
• Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• CDK experience is a plus

Compensation:

• Competitive compensation package with earnings in the $200,000 - $250,000 range based on experience.
