Pay Rate
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour or DOE
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Manual Lathe/Mill Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating manual lathes and milling machines to shape materials like metal, plastic, or wood.
- Mount and load materials into the machines, selecting and installing the correct cutting tools.
- Adjusting machine controls, speeds, and feeds to maintain specified dimensions.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Measure and inspect finished components using precision tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specifications.
Manual Lathe/Mill Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have the ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Must have attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed.
- Must have basic math skills necessary for calculations related to dimensions and speeds.
- Must have skills in using tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for quality control.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods and lift materials.

Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
