Press Brake Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Press Brake Operator for a company based in Louisa, Virginia. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the precise setup, programming, and operation of CNC press brakes to produce high-tolerance sheet metal and precision components. This role requires exceptional attention to detail to ensure all parts meet strict quality and dimensional standards required for precision metal fabrication. The operator will work closely with the quality department and engineering to support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule and Hours
First Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
First Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Second Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm.
Press Brake Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes to bend and form precision sheet metal components to exact specifications.
- Select proper tooling, dies, and back gauge settings to achieve required ben angles and radius.
- Interpret complex technical blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions with a focus on tight tolerances and surface finishes.
- Adjust machine parameters and tooling to maintain consistent quality and precision.
- Conducting quality checks and collaborating with management, engineering and quality inspectors to resolve dimensional or process issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on press brakes, including die cleaning, lubrication, and checking machine alignment.
- Adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintaining a clean work area.
Press Brake Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 years of experience operating CNC press brakes in a precision metal fabrication environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors, and height gauges).
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a high-quality product.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to lead and follow them.
- Effective written and communicating skills to collaborate with team members.
- Hand-eye coordination ability to work with accuracy.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
