Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Garnishment Payment Posting Associate to support our student loan operations. This role is responsible for accurately posting wage garnishment payments to borrower accounts and learning internal processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in financial operations and regulated payment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post wage garnishment payments to student loan borrower accounts
• Review garnishment payment files and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Match payments to the correct borrower accounts using established procedures
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, missing information, or posting issues
• Follow documented processes and compliance requirements related to garnishments
• Learn and apply internal systems, tools, and workflows
• Maintain accurate records and audit trails
• Protect confidential borrower and employer information
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate payment processing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient 10-key data entry skills (required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and compliance guidelines
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Willingness to learn new systems and regulated processes
• Strong organizational skills and reliability

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payment posting, loan servicing, or garnishments (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with spreadsheets or financial systems
