Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Buyer to support procurement and material planning operations. While the role is buyer-focused, the hiring manager strongly prefers candidates with experience in fulfillment, material planning, and inventory management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Issue purchase orders and manage procurement activities
- Analyze pricing and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency
- Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Respond to RFQs in alignment with Sales & Marketing deadlines
- Create and manage purchase requisitions in a timely manner
Material Planning & Fulfillment
- Develop and maintain procurement plans based on production and customer demand
- Expedite materials and ensure timely availability
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and safety stock in SAP
- Monitor and manage stock transfers between production and service units
- Ensure alignment with Incoterms and logistics processes
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely payments
- Support supplier onboarding as per company guidelines
- Escalate supplier issues to category managers when needed
- Collaborate with internal teams (planning, production, GBS, etc.) for seamless operations
- Communicate material availability updates to relevant stakeholders
Operations & Compliance
- Manage Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt (GRIR), Baseware, and CIT processes
- Ensure timely supplier payments and accurate documentation
- Maintain material master data in SAP
- Track KPIs and support monthly reporting
- Ensure compliance with organizational processes and policies
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a Buyer or Supply Chain role
- Hands-on experience with fulfillment, material planning, and inventory management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
- Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in SAP is required
- Understanding of Incoterms and logistics operations
