Position Overview
The Supply Chain Associate supports hospital operations by ensuring the accurate and timely distribution, inventory management, and replenishment of medical supplies, equipment, and linen. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient supply chain operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute, restock, and organize medical supplies and linen in accordance with established procedures
- Utilize supply chain systems such as SAP and Pyxis to track inventory movement and transactions
- Perform routine cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Monitor and manage product expiration dates, ensuring proper documentation and disposal
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, including goods receipt entry and documentation
- Identify and report shipment discrepancies to management
- Prepare vendor returns and ensure proper stock rotation across all storage areas
- Transport supplies from loading dock to stockrooms and deliver items to designated departments
- Fulfill STAT orders in alignment with service level agreements
- Participate in mid-year and annual inventory counts
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces across supply and storage areas
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal stakeholders
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain, warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or related field
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment strongly preferred
- Healthcare supply chain experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
