Key Responsibilities
Raw Stock Operations
- Receive and verify incoming raw materials against documentation for accuracy and quantity.
- Load/unload trucks and move materials to designated storage locations.
- Identify, code, and cut stock to dimensional specifications using saw equipment.
- Issue jobs per production schedule and update shop floor and MRP systems.
- Maintain min/max inventory levels and requisition materials as needed.
Parts Identification
- Identify parts using proper equipment and methods per traveler and blueprint instructions.
- Layout and mark parts with precise dimensions and identification codes.
- Perform equipment setup and minor repairs.
- Maintain serialized records and identification supplies.
- Report shortages and recommend improved identification methods when needed.
Shipping
- Prepare materials and parts for safe shipment, including packaging and documentation.
- Generate labels, shipping records, air bills, bills of lading, and sales orders.
- Interpret customer, company, and regulatory shipping specifications.
- Coordinate carriers, freight rates, and shipment schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Plan future shipments and prepare shipping reports and container materials.
Receiving
- Receive and log incoming shipments; route materials to appropriate departments.
- Weigh/count materials and update system records.
- Verify documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
Stockroom
- Receive, identify, and store parts correctly by type and part number.
- Pick parts to fulfill orders based on parts lists.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records using computerized systems.
- Execute advanced ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System) functions as applicable.
- Prioritize workloads and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Clean Operations
- Clean and degrease parts using approved methods and solutions.
- Prepare and mix cleaning solutions per specifications.
- Oil parts to prevent corrosion and maintain contamination-free conditions.
- Maintain proper workflow and cleanliness in the cleaning area.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of product support or related experience or demonstrated ability to perform job duties.
- Strong knowledge of procedures and systems across multiple functional areas.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational and material flow issues.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical forms, specifications, and work instructions.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate moving equipment and saw equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Must meet OSHA safety requirements.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
