PLC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility operations. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and improving production-related mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 4–6 years of maintenance technician or industrial maintenance experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on technical experience preferred
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with PLCs
• Ability to read and interpret control wiring diagrams for troubleshooting equipment failures
• Experience rebuilding and repairing pumps

Preferred Qualifications

• Fabrication skills
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Strong mechanical maintenance background

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, replace, and maintain mechanical systems and associated equipment including:
• • Air compressors
  • Air dryers
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Cooling towers
  • Pumps and related systems
• Follow detailed work instructions, technical drawings, and equipment specifications
• Administer preventive maintenance schedules and maintain maintenance documentation/reports
• Identify PM requirements for new equipment installations
• Train equipment operators on basic maintenance and equipment care
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow PPE/safety requirements
• Support facility operations and maintenance needs as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical equipment
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
• Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing repairs
• Forklift and powered industrial equipment experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in changing production environments
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Work Schedule Flexibility

• Must be available for overtime as needed
• Occasional nights, weekends, or schedule changes may be required based on business needs
