Position Overview
- Provide specialized nursing care in an 8-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) focused on post-operative recovery from complex cardiovascular surgeries.
- Work with advanced cardiac support devices and procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions, and serve as a primary coordinator for multidisciplinary care.
- Assess discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Deliver direct nursing care following organizational policies and protocols.
- Note and execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
- Coordinate patient care and discharge planning effectively.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Certification in BLS and Advanced Life Support within specified timeframes.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
