1st Shift Machine Operator
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (higher range for reliable, consistent experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our converting team. This role involves setting up and operating production machines, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet specifications. Candidates with general machine operating experience in areas such as flexo, press, die cutting, or other production machinery are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machines
- Follow work instructions, product specifications, and CAD drawings
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy
- Track production data, material lots, and complete checklists
- Perform basic daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance
- Keep throughput efficient by identifying and resolving issues quickly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience (printing, converting, die cutting, flexo, or related)
- Strong reliability and steady work history (long-term focus)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Basic math and computer skills; ability to document work clearly
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexographic or digital printing experience
- Die cutting experience
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices
