Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator.Shipping Experience, preferably International.
Responsibilities include managing international SAP shipping activities, including but not limited to coordinating shipments to and from Germany, monitoring tracking data, and ensuring seamless port arrivals and departures. The role also involves preparing packages for client distribution. While this position is part of a collaborative team, each team member is accountable for their individual responsibilities and must be able to work independently. Additional duties include coordinating UPS shipping labels and tracking information.
Key requirements are:
- Able to work autonomously
- Knowledge of Incoterms
- Experience with international and domestic shipping (able to perform tasks)
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee the loading and unloading of shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to process orders, track inventory, and update shipment statuses
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using RF scanners and order picker equipment
- Ensure accurate stock levels through proper stocking, order picking, and inventory management practices
- Operate packaging equipment to prepare items for dispatch while adhering to quality standards
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, including labels, bills of lading, and customs paperwork if applicable
- Assist with warehouse organization to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency
- Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms, ensuring timely dispatch of customer orders
- Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures when operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order quantities
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse management system (WMS), shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles preferred
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is highly desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking & packing, stock management, and load & unload procedures
- Familiarity with inventory control systems such as MRPs or AS400 is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts and measurements
- Previous experience in e-commerce fulfillment or warehouse environment is advantageous
