AtWork Personnel – Harrisonburg is seeking a driven and competitive Business Development Representative to join a fast-growing logistics and freight brokerage team in the Shenandoah Valley.
If you love hunting new freight opportunities and farming strong client relationships, this role blends outside sales, load-booking, and brokerage strategy to help drive major growth.
🔥 What You’ll Do
- Hunt for new customers, shippers, and freight opportunities daily
- Farm and expand existing accounts through consistent follow-up
- Quote and negotiate freight rates, close loads, and build margins
- Build relationships with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and supply chain partners
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless pickups, deliveries, and issue resolution
- Manage a healthy pipeline using CRM and TMS tools
🧭 What You Bring
- 1–3 years in freight brokerage, trucking, logistics, or transportation sales (preferred)
- Strong negotiation skills and confidence discussing lanes, rates, and capacity
- A hunter mentality with the drive to build and grow a book of business
- Excellent communication, follow-through, and time management
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, CRMs, load boards, and/or TMS systems
