Job Summary/Objective of Job
The Maintenance Fabricator is responsible for partnering with Production Managers and Team Leads to create tooling, repair tools and equipment that will keep team members safe and enhance the daily production operation. You will advise, administer and perform maintenance and fabricator projects. This includes planning, designing, and constructing specialized equipment, and ensuring adherence to sound engineering standards and principles.
Summary of essential job functions
- Operates fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment (welders, grinders, bandsaws, plasma cutter, tubing bender...).
- Cut and shape materials to the correct size and shape required
- Think outside the box. Collaborate with Team Leaders and team members to design, create and fabricate solutions.
- Provide materials list needed for work to be performed
- Perform repairs to cast Aluminum
- Help build, install, modify, repair, fabricate prototype parts/mechanisms, and/or test equipment this includes overhead hoists.
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervision.
- Ability to operate a Manlift & Hilo.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum of 3yearsof related experience or training in the fabrication field.
- Experience in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding, a must.
- Must have experience in Aluminum and Aluminum Cast welding.
- Technical skills, such as blueprint reading, welding, and knowledge of fabrication tools.
- Knowledge in materials needed to complete jobs.
- Excellent Attention to Detail a must.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of safe work practices required for department.
- Must have excellent work attendance.
