What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Accounting Manager position at Atlas Search?
If you’re at the point where you’re reviewing everything… but still feel one step removed from the bigger picture, this is where that changes.
This is a Fund Accounting Manager seat at a growing real estate investment platform where you’re not just closing books, you’re owning the engine behind the funds. You’ll be managing a team, partnering directly with asset management and IR, and getting pulled into everything from fund launches to valuations and investor reporting.
It’s a mix of credit equity strategies, complex structures (JVs, loan portfolios, CMBS), and real exposure to how decisions are made — not just reported after the fact.
What you’ll be doing:
• Leading and developing a team of senior accountants
• Owning the close process and all fund-level reporting
• Reviewing capital activity, waterfalls, and investor allocations
• Partnering cross-functionally with IR, tax, and compliance
• Supporting new fund launches and buildout initiatives
• Driving process improvements and automation
What they’re looking for:
• 5–6 years across fund accounting public accounting
• CPA required
• Strong partnership accounting waterfall experience
• Someone proactive who can operate without handholding
If you’re looking for a role where you can actually step into leadership, get closer to the business, and have a voice in how things are built — this is worth a conversation.
