Manager, Fund Accounting & Operations | NYC | 20B AUM
High-growth private equity platform seeking a hands-on Fund Accounting leader to join a lean, collaborative team. The firm has scaled rapidly over the past several years and is continuing to build out its infrastructure.
This is a highly visible role with exposure across fund accounting, operations, and treasury. You’ll be stepping into a key position on a small team, managing junior staff and working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review NAV packages, capital account statements, and waterfall calculations
- Oversee financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
- Manage fund administrator relationships and deliverables
- Monitor cash, liquidity, and credit facilities
- Review deal allocations and fund structures
- Lead quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Manage and develop junior team members
- Improve processes, controls, and reporting workflows
- Maintain internal shadow accounting and reconcile against admin records
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in private equity / alternative investment fund accounting
- Strong knowledge of NAVs, waterfalls, capital activity, and fund structures
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
- Exposure to fund administrators
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a lean environment
Salary : $140,000 - $190,000
