Director, Corporate Accounting

A rapidly scaling fintech company is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting to lead core accounting operations and build a scalable, high-performing function during a key growth phase.
This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership over the close process, financial reporting infrastructure, and accounts payable, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive efficiency, controls, and automation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and manage the month-end close across key financial statement areas (cash, fixed assets, leases, AP, payroll, stock comp, debt/equity, etc.)
- Drive improvements in close processes, documentation, and reconciliation standards
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate and efficient accounting under US GAAP
- Lead development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures
- Play a key role in ERP/system selection and implementation
- Strengthen internal controls and support SOX readiness initiatives
- Oversee and optimize the accounts payable function, including automation initiatives
- Partner with treasury and finance teams on cash reporting and operational improvements
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team
What they’re looking for:
- CPA required
- 10 years of accounting experience (Big 4 industry preferred)
- Strong background in corporate accounting and US GAAP (ASC 718, 842, 470, 450, etc.)
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or a regulated environment preferred
- Proven experience building and scaling accounting processes and teams
- Hands-on experience with ERP implementations and financial systems
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX frameworks
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
