- Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Monday - Friday: Off
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional care throughout the imaging process.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient history and verify examination requests.
- Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures prior to imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members to support quality patient care.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational issues.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology; OR
- High School Diploma/GED and successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography technical training program.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Current BLS Certification
