About the Opportunity
A community health organization is seeking a part-time Neurologist to provide person-centered neurological care for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive neurological evaluations and coordinated care within an outpatient community health clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full neurological evaluations for both children and adults
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to identify nervous system disorders
- Create medical care plans, manage medications, and recommend therapies
- Collaborate closely with primary care physicians and support teams to coordinate continuous care
- Connect patients with outside medical specialists or ancillary services when needed
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the EMR system
Requirements
- Medical Degree: MD or DO required
- Active New York State medical license required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology required
- Experience treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities strongly preferred
Schedule Details
