Safety Program Manager
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Safety Program Manager to lead and elevate our safety initiatives across multiple construction projects. In this role, you’ll provide strategic oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, and empower field teams with the tools, training, and support needed to deliver work safely and efficiently.
You’ll partner closely with the Director of Field Operations and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, strengthen safety culture, and align project execution with company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of safety professionals across multiple projects
- Serve as a subject matter expert on company safety programs, policies, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, and safety regulations, and advise leadership on evolving requirements
- Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to develop and implement project-specific Safety & Environmental plans
- Review project plans and specifications to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
- Oversee field safety operations, including staffing forecasts, SOPs, and resource planning
- Drive clear communication of expectations, performance goals, and safety standards across teams
- Support training initiatives and conduct bi-annual performance and career development reviews
- Monitor project performance and provide high-level updates to senior leadership
- Travel to job sites as needed to support field operations
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
- 15 years of construction and safety experience, including leadership on complex projects
- Experience supervising or leading teams with increasing responsibility
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and specifications
- Proven ability to manage safety programs across multiple projects
Certifications:
- OSHA 500 (required)
- OSHA-30 (required)
- USACE CQM (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in construction technology platforms and reporting tools
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Familiarity with ProjectSight (preferred)
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
