Radiology CT Technologist (CT Tech)
Department: Radiology
Location: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Note: Schedule may shift to Wednesday–Saturday once per month, with Saturday coverage at the Douglas location.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience (DOE)
Position Summary:
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology CT Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. This role is responsible for operating CT equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring exceptional patient care throughout the process. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans to capture diagnostic images of internal structures as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while explaining each step to ensure patient comfort and understanding
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure image quality and appropriate imaging protocols
- Adhere to strict safety and radiation protection standards to minimize risk for patients and staff
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleanliness checks on CT equipment; report malfunctions promptly
- Review and verify patient medical history, including possible contraindications to contrast use
- Document procedures and images accurately within the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Ensure all completed images meet diagnostic quality standards; repeat scans if necessary to achieve optimal results
Qualifications:
Education:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician, with a primary focus on CT imaging
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
Licensing & Certifications:
- ARRT (RT) certification – Required
- ARRT (CT) certification – Preferred, or must be obtained within a designated timeframe
- BLS certification – Required
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in operating CT scanners and understanding radiology protocols
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask effectively and remain composed in high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety, infection control, and radiation protection
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility as needed
- Ability to work in both hospital and outpatient clinical environments
- Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed for monthly weekend coverage at the Douglas location

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
