Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Unit
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM (Three 12-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Position Summary
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute patient care, demonstrate exceptional critical thinking abilities, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on assessed needs.
- Observe, record, and promptly communicate changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care to ensure comprehensive, well-integrated patient management.
- Accurately interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Participate actively in discharge planning by assessing patient needs and collaborating with healthcare team members to facilitate a smooth transition of care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Experience as a travel RN in a Medical-Surgical setting is an advantage
- Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
