Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and credentialed Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our Non-Invasive Cardiology team. This position plays a vital role in the diagnosis and care of patients with cardiovascular conditions by performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The ideal candidate is skilled in both adult echocardiography and vascular ultrasound, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of diagnostic cardiovascular procedures offered in the Non-Invasive Cardiology department
- Operate and master various types of cardiovascular imaging equipment, including:
- Ultrasound systems
- Pulse volume recording (PVR) equipment
- Blood pressure monitors
- Associated computer systems
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures
- Adhere to department protocols, including proper documentation, image quality review, and patient interaction
- Participate in department training programs, staff meetings, and computer-based learning modules
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff and students as needed
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma – Required
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent on-the-job training (minimum 1 year)
Licenses/Certifications:
- RDCS or RCS certification in adult echocardiography – Required
- RVT or RVS certification in vascular ultrasound – Required (or one vascular and one general ultrasound registry)
- BLS certification – Required before patient contact
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in all aspects of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging
- Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, cardiovascular anatomy, and disease processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to demonstrate supervisory and training skills for onboarding and mentoring purposes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
