Our family-owned and operated tax firm is hiring a full-time Data Entry Assistant to work Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm. This is a seasonal position with optional overtime available during tax season. We are looking for someone who is energetic, friendly, dependable, and professional, with a polite demeanor and positive attitude. Previous experience in an office or data entry setting is highly preferred.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain data in electronic databases and internal systems.
  • Review, verify, and correct data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Perform quality control checks on all entered and scanned documents.
  • Organize, classify, and file digital and physical records according to company standards.
  • Handle incoming data requests and provide reports or information as needed.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of office supplies related to data entry tasks.
  • Assist with scheduling, tracking deadlines, and managing workflow priorities.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including scanning, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Respond to phone calls, relay messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all sensitive information and records.
  • Support the office team with miscellaneous administrative tasks and errands as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Proficient in data entry with strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and common office software.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and maintains high accuracy with all data and documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle high volumes of information efficiently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and responding to data requests.
  • Able to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Exhibits professional phone etiquette when handling calls related to data or administrative needs.
