Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in the operating state. [1, 2]
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR are mandatory. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in clinical, acute, emergency, or mental health nursing.
- Specialized Knowledge: A solid grasp of psychiatric nursing, trauma-informed care, and substance use disorder treatment is strongly desired, as these conditions are highly prevalent in the justice system.
Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
