Position Summary
Oversee and operates machines in a manufacturing or a clean room environment, maintains processes and procedures along with Safety and Quality manufacturing requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates machinery and packs parts to meet quality and production standards. This may include a group of machines or a single manually attended machine.
- Works with other operators to maintain and improve the working environment.
- Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production activities.
- Obtains training from Supervisor, Set-up personnel and Technicians to enhance knowledge and experience in all aspects of the operation.
- Works with the Quality department personnel to ensure understanding and maintain current quality standards.
- Responsible for the housekeeping and safety of their work areas.
- Flexible and able to work in all areas assigned to meet customer requirements.
- Ability to visually inspect product for common defects and pack parts per operator instructions.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Adheres to the Quality Policy and Core Values of the organization.

Qualifications:
Required Competencies, Skills, and Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Prior Plastics Injection Molding experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and display an understanding of quality, safety, and process knowledge.
- Capable of working with team members as needed.
- Must be self-motivated.
Education and Job Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Subject to intermittent and changing noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to grasp, pinch, grip, clip small parts.
- Exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force minimally.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (e.g., ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.) and following good manufacturing practices.
