We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to prepare and post daily and weekly journal entries, perform monthly reconciliations, and assist with internal audit reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining complex reconciliations during integration processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post daily and weekly journal entries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with internal audit reporting and support external audit requests.
- Conduct research and handle special projects assigned by the VP of Finance.
- Maintain and improve reconciliation processes as organizational needs evolve.
- Collaborate with team members to transition reconciliation tasks and streamline workflows.
- 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficiency in creating and manipulating pivot tables and using VLOOKUP.
- Experience with accounting and month-end processes.
- Experience in higher education, non-profit, or Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) accounting.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with acquisitions, ERP implementations/changes, and learning new ERP systems.
