Job Description
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for our business operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains strong supplier relationships, and aligns procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential supply chain risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement.
- Track records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals.
- Proficiency in Epicor is required.
- Experience in procurement or purchasing management, particularly in contract manufacturing or electronics industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of sourcing and vendor management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in global sourcing and logistics, with an emphasis on tariff cost savings.
- 8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- 3 years in management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience with high volume SKUs and multiple product lines.
- Knowledge of ITAR compliance.
- Any certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or CIPS are a plus.
