Responsibilities
- Purchase equipment needed for manufacturing and office operations, focusing on electrical components, steel, and office supplies.
- Secure equipment and hotel rentals for installations at job sites.
- Enter data using Excel and other Microsoft programs, as the operation does not use an ERP system.
- Negotiate with vendors for supplies.
- Prepare paperwork for customers, including quotes, purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- 2 years of purchasing experience, ideally in manufacturing or at a food plant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office platforms.
- Ability to work independently and wear multiple hats.
- Experience in purchase orders, supply chain, buying, data entry, negotiation, inventory, and vendor management.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with smaller-sized operations is preferred over large, high-tech corporations.
- Comfortable working independently as the sole purchaser on staff.
