A global leader in life sciences is seeking a Cost Accountant/Analyst to join their team. This role provides timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize spending across support functions. The cost accountant will provide financial review and analytical support across designated business units or functional areas, playing a critical role in delivering timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
The position is based onsite Monday to Friday in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with 4 days a week in the office and the benefit of 1 work-from-home day. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial partner for operations, evaluating the cost impact of changes in manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to analyze inventory variances and develop strategies to meet financial targets.
- Support monthly financial reviews, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic financial projections.
- Provide financial support for daily operations and ad hoc business initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems used for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support the evaluation and management of capital expenditure projects.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and perform special assignments as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, including cost accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- CMA is highly preferred.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management.
