Job Title: AEC Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant (Hybrid Opportunity)Job DescriptionJoin a leading architecture firm in NYC as a Bookkeeper, where you will handle essential financial tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank and credit card reconciliations, and supporting year-end accounting activities. This full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.ResponsibilitiesManage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, assigning job codes, and overseeing payments.Handle accounts receivable by generating client invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations.Support year-end accounting tasks, including 1099 filings and preparing documentation for audits.Ensure adherence to industry-specific financial regulations and company policies.Essential Skills2-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in the AEC industry.Proficiency with accounting software such as Deltek Ajera/Vantagepoint and Sage.Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, project accounting, and reconciliation tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with QuickBooks is beneficial.Basic understanding of job costing.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Work EnvironmentEnjoy a flexible work environment with the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The office is located in NYC, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
