Responsibilities
- Providing management direction and oversight of a large technical execution-oriented organization
- In conjunction with the Director of Engineering, owns the technical execution responsibility for the organization
- Establishment and execution of operational goals for the Engineering Organization
- Establishment and execution of staffing plans for the Engineering Organization including hiring surges and staffing changes across different engineering organizations
- Oversee execution of the hiring process, review of requisitions, candidates, and candidate assessments; establish offer parameters and provide offer recommendations
- Lead direction and oversight on IR&D activities
- Collaborate with leadership in making moderate to significant improvements to process, products, and organization to enhance performance and effectiveness
- Partner with multiple internal and external customers to influence process, approaches and outcomes
- Provide effective communications to the Engineering Organization on policy, process, organization, and all matters related to the execution of Engineering Organizational responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the development of solutions to complex product and program issues; drawing on experience, provide guidance as to approach for solutions to issues
- Manage timely status development and communication to customers, internal executive leadership and ASRC Federal leadership
- Maintain effective, collaborative, co-operative environment between internal organizations and departments
- Provide input towards Business Development activities and initiatives. Strategy, and Execution of Growth activities for current work and customers as well as capture of new work for existing or new customers
- Collaborate with leadership on award, merit, and promotion activities
- Collaborate with leadership on technical execution operational goals
- Collaborate with leadership on business growth operational goals
- Collaborate with leadership on quality initiatives and quality operational goals
- Collaborate with leadership on training/workforce initiatives and workforce operational goals
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8-10 years technical management or related leadership experience with large-scale matrixed organizations. Aegis/Aegis BMD/SSDS experience strongly preferred.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).
